For a Conscious Business Owner – this might be one of the most painful parts in an enrollment conversation.
When someone goes into ‘story mode’ where they can’t afford your program, it hasn’t worked in the past, maybe next year, let me think about it, etc.
Shannon here – and it’s painful because you put SO much heart & soul into your work and then you’re just fed a story of lack & limitation.
So let’s put a stop to it.
In fact, you can use this sentence to turn the entire conversation on it’s head.
So the next time the conversation heads in the wrong direction, use this sentence to get back in presence, on purpose…and profit.
STAND FOR THEIR TRANSFORMATION, NOT THEIR EXCUSES
In an enrollment conversation, it’s crucial to your success as a leader to control it.
Meaning – even if they’re speaking, you’re leading it.
The reason why too many Conscious Business Owners lose clients- is because they allow the client’s story of limitation to take control of the conversation.
Instead – you have to be a STAND for the ultimate transformation, not allowing their weakness to control the conversation.
So as soon as the conversation goes into victim territory, use this empowering phrase:
“Can I interrupt with a question for a second? Just so I really understand your story?”
They’re not going to say no to that.
“I understand that you need [TRANSFORMATION] and because of [EXCUSES]
you’ve been held back. Right?”
“Well I want you to know that I’m here to stand for your transformation, not for your limitations on why you can’t have [TRANSFORMATION].”
Now that you have them listening, here’s an easy transition to use:
“Which is why I have a few ideas to help you [TRANSFORM] and finally release [EXCUSES]. Is that something you want to hear about?”
This is a pattern to use to regain control of the conversation so you’re leading with empowerment, not victimhood. HOT, right?
(Check out Becky, who used a strategy like the one you just learned to generate a $12,000 day!)
